Hill Walking
Scotland is a great place to go hill walking. Sure, it’s usually raining and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been at the top of a hill without at least 4 layers on and still feeling cold as I eat lunch. Maybe the weather is a good thing – the odd time it is good the walk feels extra special.
Ben Nevis
I climbed Scotland’s highest mountain (1334m) on Road Trip Up North ‘09 with two friends. I got to the top rather satisfied with myself. I turned round and two small (about 8 year old) girls were behind me. Sure – I did climb it a lot faster than they did but I was still a little miffed.
Ben Nevis has a large flat summit which is just as well as there must have been at least 100 people at the top. And it was apparently a relatively quiet day.

- Standing on the Trig Point. Highest Person in the UK!
- I was very chuffed the information centre recommended a 3330 was to be taken up Ben Nevis!
