I was invited to perform Address to a Haggis for the Old Bell’s Burns Night. Given that I have a very soft Scottish accent, don’t like whisky and a pescatarian; I’m not sure how Robert Burns would feel about me honouring his memory but I did my best.
It was a fun evening and as a fan of Burn’s poetry I was proud that Burns Night was being enjoyed in the heart of the Cotswolds, England.
The video is courtesy of Old Bell’s Instagram page. I wouldn’t use it as a pronounciation guide because I’m not a proficient speaker of Scot’s poetry.
