This was probably my most longest woodworking project to date. Not shown are the failed parts I had to remake and the fact that after sanding some of the dimensions are not quite right!
But I’m very happy with the result and it’s been an eye catching piece proudly featured in my living room. I’m also not ashamed to say I sometimes take all the logs out, put them back in and push the truck around the floor!
The plans were from toymakingplans.com and were extremely detailed and thorough. I like digital plans because I can easily reprint parts as required and there is not awkward photocopying. I have seen more detailed Peter Bilt trucks but for a beginner toy maker the simply, blocky nature of this design was perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending toymakingplans.com if you like their aesthetic.
