My friend is a big fan of high quality chef and bushcraft knives. His favourite knifemaker is Jacklore and has an impressive collection. I wanted to give him a knife for Christmas but I’m not kitted out for metalwork yet and there is no way I could compete with a professional! I settled on a wooden knife instead and found an instructables tutorial for some inspiration.
It was a good way to use up a thin piece of scrap (but beautiful) piece from the wooden truck project that was tapered. The “blade” is bevelled but I didn’t make it too sharp or it would break easily.
I plan to make another one with a matching chopping board as a fancy cheeseboard set!
